So the Fiance came home yesterday with a different idea for our honeymoon than I had planned. I was looking to go to Costa Rica for Sailfish season. She brought home a business card from a client. It was an outfitter in Canada for fishing. Anyone ever done a trip like this where they fly you in and you are basically on your own for a week. Think it would be cool, we would have to put off our honeymoon a couple months to make this work (frozen lakes during February, dont know how to ice fish) but think it would be different and a chance to truely get away. What questions would you ask the outfitter. What can you take to Canada, what will you have to get there? Any help on this would be great.

First of all... you suck!! My wife will eat fish but has no desire to catch them. You sir are a blessed man.
I have never been on either type of trips mainly for the reason listed above. But if I had to pick I would really like the Canada trip. I have friends that have made those trips and could not wait to go back. I am a big fan of getting away from everything and having nature to yourself.
Congrats Bro!

This is the outfitter we are looking at as of now. Best part is you don't share a cabin with a big group of people. http://www.canadianflyinfishing.net/ Still have a lot of questions to ask the outfitter before we pull the trigger, but it looks awesome to me.
