    Is this a good price?

Been looking at getting a steel deck trailer and found one, just want to see if its a good deal or not.

New 18ft Buck Dandy auto hauler, 2ft dove tail, 5" C channel, LED lights, twin 3500lb axles, brakes, diamond plate ramps, bulldog hitch, smooth steel fenders, 1/8" diamond plate with d ring pockets

Can get it for $2650 out the door

    Go or No Go?

Doesn't sound too bad to me. Just curious, why a steel deck?

See if they will put heavier axles under it. 7000#'s just isn't enough for a double axle trailer when the trailer probably weighs 2000.
And yep, that's a darn good price.

I'm only gonna haul a single cab truck once, then it'll be used to haul square tubing or sheet metal.
Prob never more than 1000lbs on it after that

I agree on the heavier axles i have a normal 16 foot with 3500 axles and haul medium size tractor some times but with a steel floor and width the car hauler is i would want at least 5000 pounds axles just in case and if you load with tubing etc that adds up just my 2 cents

Fair enough!. Reason I asked was we had one at our shop in lubbock and the deck was all warped and dipped between the crossmembers and made it a pain to keep stuff from moving around. But that was when we would be hauling small scale frames and various pieces that sometimes wouldn't span over the crossmembers. Now I can't say that it may not have been abused and over loaded a few times in its lifetime but that thing made me appreciate a wood deck trailer a little more.

If you ever decide to sell it, the larger axles will be a big selling point as will electric brakes.

I agree with the larger axles but that is a dang good price for a trailer these days
