    Help with snake boots

So, I need some guidance for snake "proof" comfortable hiking boots. I got some snake gaiters that cover from the top of my shin to the top of my feet. I thought that I could put them over my hiking boots and be able to hike around long distances on my ranch and not worry about snakes. I have several pairs of the traditional Chippewa snake boots but my feet swim around in there and eventually get blistered up if I walk for several hours in them (have narrow feet).

Does anyone know of a pair of hiking boots that would be snake "proof" on the lower 1/3 of the boot? Or would a good solid pair of all leather boots work?

    I was considering these potentially:

    Thanks for the help

I just got a pair of the Chippewa Buffalo snake boots. My Rockys gave up the ghost and had to get a new pair. I had always wanted to get a pair of Chips but like you, my feet slid all around in them. Not the case with Buffalo. Fit like gloves and I have only wore them for two 3 day weekends so far. They are kinda pricey (~$380) but you might can find some seconds like I did (one discolored spot on the leather).

Man, you're in Fut Wuth. Get down to the Justin outlet on Vickery. They make Chippewa and they are half price there!!

Any half way thick pair of leather boots will work on the lower foot and use the gaiters above. Take a look at what the rattlesnake round up guys wear in sweetwater...just regular ol cowboy boots

They are hot, but wear Thorlo ski socks. Thick ladding protects from blisters. Snakes are out even when it is 30°F. You usually don't see them but they are out. Especially if it is a sunny day and in the 60° -70° range you can have some big rattlesnakes out in December.

I have some Danner Pronghorns and hands down they are some comfortable boots. When I was in the Army, I owned the Matahorns.

The boot I love to get if I had the money are the Danner Jakel.

However, due to the price I've looked for something a little more easier on the picket book. What I found, and am saving up for, is the LaCross Venom Scent HD.

I don't think you're going to find a snake boot in the design you posted, so hope the suggestions help.
