So...I've been using an 20GA Remington 1100 shotgun for bird hunting these past few years. Last year I tried using Winchester shells and had a LOT of problems with the casings getting stuck in the action. With Remington shells...no problems. Anybody else have this issue?

Some 1100 20 gauges don't like light loads and won't cycle the 7/8 oz cheapo crap. Try 1 oz Heavy Dove's or 1 oz Rio's. If that don't work clean it real good and check the o-ring. You can make them cycle light loads by shortening the recoil spring and drilling out 1 gas port a tad[1 size larger in a machinist drill bit set] if desired.

My Remington 870 Express runs Remington shells all day. I stick the Winchester shells from walmart in and it's jam city. I can cycle them through as long as I don't shoot them. After shooting, it sticks and I have to slam the butt on the ground to break it free. I tried polishing the chamber by wrapping a bore brush in 000 steel wool and hooking it up to a drill. Still does it.
The brass may be the issue. I almost always use high brass, but the winchester is what I've used for clays, and it's always been low brass.
