I boil/simmer mine with dawn or ajax soap to cut the grease. after I got all I can get off, I take it to the car wash and use the pressure hose in the brain, eye, and nasal cavities. works well. then peroxide in the sun.

I think putting them in the sun would help. I always just out em in the garage to dry off.
