Cus 12 hours should be long enough to get your limit?

So there's time for beer at the end?
I had 12 and a half hours today and couldn't scratch out a limit.

Pretty sure I ended up with uhhhh......ZERO!

I'm gonna try some of that aiming fluid tomorrow......

          Duh

But it's to be able to find downed birds. Birds can be tough to find in broad daylight in a plowed field. Much less after dark...

So jakelegs don't set up on their roost and pound them as the fly to it like they do illegally with wood ducks and any other waterfowl..

Good thing I've got a dog. He'd get'em after dark

You do make a good point though. A downed bird in a freshly disced field after sunset without a dog would be real tough. Still though, the main reason is roosting.

Smart laid it out there a little more straight and to the point than I did.

                    ...

For trying to protect the population. Because it's their job.

Migratory game bird. Nothing to do with finding birds. A good dog doesnt need sunshine.
