Taken from the Wonderlic test (have to take for a job interview tomorrow) I can get the answer but I'm having a brain fart on how to do it quickly with an Algebraic formula. Anyone taken algebra more recent than 26 years ago remember how to do this? I only have 12 min for 50 questions tomorrow so would rather do a quick formula instead of working it out the long way.
In printing an article of 48,000 words, a printer decides to use two sizes of type. Using larger type, a printed page contains 1,800 words. Using smaller type, a page contains 2,400 words. The article is allocated 21 full pages in a magazine. How many pages must be in smaller type?
Answer is 17. But I worked that out the long way. What's the quick formula to get this answer?
