I will vouch for Coachman Homes. You won't find a better more honest person than him. He built our house about 10 years ago. Did an excellent job. Hopefully, in the near future he will get to build our next house.

I'm in the same boat here. Thought we had a builder picked out and not liking some of the recent price "adjustments" We have 30 acres in Wimberely and looking to build something like this with a pool and casita included.

For a house like the one pictured I can recommend Hagy custom homes (they have a DS office), or Bill Dunne out of Fredricksburg.

Thanks will do. We had spoken too Nalle several months ago and did like what they had to offer. Will start back up those conversations again as well.

The home in the picture is the "style" we like. We really don't need "Custom" we just want a good solid home, that looks like a nice Hill country ranch home.

We decided to keep costs lower to go stained concrete floors, gable roof (remove all the hip roofing) and putting 2nd and 3rd bedrooms on the second floor.

Nalle built my home here in McDade but as much as I would like to give them good props I cant. They built a great house for the money but I've been fighting with them about the concrete work for 9 monthes now and am still unhappy. They have had plenty of time to correct the problem but they havent.

Honestly Micky at Coachman is my father and he builds a really nice custom home but everything is more expensive in the Wimberley area as compared to the Bastrop area. Believe me if you can't build it your self then you get what you paid for.
