    Piebald dove?

Shot this fella a few minutes ago. I'm assuming piebald? I've shot a lot of dove and seen a lot of dove shot, and never seen this one.

It's not a mourning dove. Either a whitewing or Eurasian

Dont get upset but out of curosity how could you saw that by just looking at the pic?

im not sure but by size i would go with a piebald eurasian, of course its tough to say with a size comparison. take a pic of it next to a normal mourning.

He is the one that shot it

I have a friend that is Mexican that I used to dove hunt with when I was in Highschool. His dad used to talk about La Magia Blanca Paloma, which translates to the magic white dove. Mexican hunting custom says that if you shoot one that you need to make a soup with the tail feathers and eat it before the sun comes up the following day. If you do then nothing will happen but have bad luck for the rest of the year if you don't.

wow im an idiot, but still how are you ruling out a mourning? is that based on size alone?

Yes, basically just ruling out mourning dove because of the size. Right after that, a guy next to me shot a Eurasian, so I may be going with that.

                        City folks call those pigeons.

Sry couldn't help but notice. Are y'all shooting with recurves. The shadow to the right of the bird looks like a guy holding a recurve.

That was my first thought, but it's not big enough to be a pigeon I don't think.
