dove cleaning question

In my years of hunting, we've sometimes come across doves we couldn't find in the morning that afternoon. They always taste great.

On the first weekend, I throw them in the fridge whole and on the second weekend I clean the two weekend's worth. Never had a problem, and never noticed any difference.

Hunt the morning starting at legal hours. Hunt till there's a limit, go sit with someone else and when everyone's all done around 9 we clean em. Afternoon, we start around 4, clean em after shooting hours. Always taste fine
