I know of a guy that day leases in Krum which is just a little west of Denton.

We hunted his fields 3 times last year and plan on doing it again this year.

I wanna say it was $60 a day. Might be more opening week. It was close enough that we could decide to go on a whim.

I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking about hitting up some of the public lands. Anyone know if it's worth it?

I'm in the same boat and would like to deal with land owners on a day lease situation in North DFW in lieu of brokers. My kids are itching to go.

As for the TPWD public spots in that area, they were pretty good (but often crowded) but they have all gone away over the last few years.

I hope I'm not making a mistake here, but... LBJ unit 36, parking and entering on the north end has a tank on private land ¼ mile in to the west (right as you look south) is the only one I’ve seen ‘em on. Don't tell anybody else.

I know a guy who guides off blue mound rd between the mint and dickies. Dont know what his prices are but the hunting is usually pretty good hunting and he is a great guy. If the birds arent flying then he will cancel the hunt and reschedule your hunt. Pm me for his number
