    What's with aggie pride?

As a casual observer, one could get the idea that the devotion aggies have to all things A&M is fanatical at best, borderline cultlike at worst. Why does being an aggie define the lives of so many aggies?

From the outside looking in, you can't understand it.
From the inside looking out, you can't explain it.

The tradition. If you notice, there is no ex student organization or ex students, just FORMER STUDENTS. Once and Aggie, always an Aggie.

x2, though I didn't go so far as to visit. At least not until I was already in school and visiting friends.

Tons of aggie friends, and I love 'em all, just different.

I have worked with many aggies and I became close friends with them all. All of them are very professional and just good folks. I have not seen the pride you speak of.

I'll give you that. At least most the the aggie chest thumpers actually went to the university.

Same here. I was wanting to go to college for different reasons than what they were trying to advertise. Works for some people but not for me.
