Good to go. I've got a Red Label from 2001. Old English straight stock, stainless receiver, with 26 inch barrels. Awesome field/skeet gun.
But remember, more important than the shotgun is the shooter. You can have the most pimped out, expensive gun of the market, but if you can't hit, you got a very expensive paper weight.
We took 2nd place last year our of 34 teams at a sporting clays shoot. I was using my trusty old Mossberg 5500MKII auto I bought off of gun broker for $150. Stinkbelly was using his beat up 1187. We still beat out guys that where shooting Benellis and Beretta's (including a beautiful 682 Gold E and one Perazzi).

Well fellas.....I hate to say it. But, my new Ruger Red Label is a piece of POOP! I was very excited to shoot it Friday on a dove hunt, shot it several times and the bottom extractor would not eject the spent shell. I used 3 different brand of ammo, and every time the same thing. Guess i should have stuck with beretta! Will be on the phone with Ruger tomorrow.

we tried to tell you brother
RRL is an ok shotgun, but it's nowhere near a Beretta when it comes to reliability and performance
