    These diesel fuel mileage threads crack me up. You don't buy a $50,000+ diesel because it gets good fuel mileage. If you want good fuel mileage go get a prius. And then you are going to lift it and put oversized tires and some heavy replacement bumpers on it? Man you guys crack me up.

      Not the reason for buying a diesel for fuel economy just stating that 20mpg or 16 hauling a load isn't too bad.

        I chose the F250 6.7 powerstroke. Ive had a chevy or two but IMO they are not built as well as ford. Ive had one Dodge and for the most was pleased with it. Im a Ford guy and have had many through the years. Not gonna knock the others but my opinion is Ford is a better built tougher truck. I have the Toyo M/T 35x12.5x18 on mine and get at best 12.7 in town and 16-18 on hwy. The truck will get up and go and has pulled everything for me with ease. I love it

            6.7 cummins are having a lot of head gasket problems and some turbo problems. So I would take that into consideration also
