looking for a oil field job

    Hello fellow hunters,

I figured tapping into Texas bow hunter would be a good place to start my search. Having a new born in the house and wanting to be able to have the wife stay at home means a job change for me. I work in warehousing right now but I'm not scared of hard /dirty oil field work. I'll do whatever it takes to support my family. If anyone knows of anyone hiring it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, God bless, and happy hunting

Most every company out in west TX is looking for roughnecks. If you have a CDL you could probably get a driving job. I've seen several places looking for warehouse types including some sales.

Not trying to hijack any offers to bowhunt101 but am curios what the jobs and salaries are like for hands that stay in the dfw area. With a new baby and a 9 yr old at home I can't pull myself away from the area but have thought about looking into the industry. I've been with the same company for 10 yrs as an industrial controls installer and now technical

I'm working as a large horsepower natural gas compressor field mechanic in dfw. You can expect $18 to start and work up to $23 with our company. Leads and supervisors make more, but there's so many people wanting in dfw they can afford not to pay. The on call schedule can be hell. I've been at it for 2 years and start a new job in October. I didn't want to do this in the first place but needed work

There's more money if you can get a job as a pumper here.
