    Hypothetical hunting licence question

If you have a life time hunting and fishing licence but didn't have time to go get a new one printed for the upcoming hunting season and went out lets say dove hunting opening morning. If you got checked by the GW what do you think the out come would be.
    Just wondering

    probably a fine or warning.

He would give you a hypothetical ticket, that you could get dismissed after a lot of heartache and troubles.

Depending on the warden, a warning but likely a ticket for not having your license with you like the regulation states.

Just go through the online process. Takes only a few minutes and you can print off "proof" from your computer until your paper one comes in the mail.

Do you not have your card? The only issue you would have if you have your card would by the HIP certification you need.

Go to Academy and get it taken care of, only takes a few minutes.

I do have the card, always stays in my wallet and will be getting one printed before season, just wondering what would happen if you didn't have one printed. Technically you do have a licence and have paid for it you just wouldn't have the printed one on you.
So would it be the same as someone who does not have a lifetime licence and bought a new one for the year, got checked but accidentally left the licence at home while dove hunting.

Don't think online is an option for lifetime license holders.

The card is all you need. The only reason for the actual license is the tags. I have had to show my card several times both dove hunting and fishing. The only comment that I have gotten from GW's is that is the first one they had seen.

When you get it printed do you still have to be HIP certified? Pretty sure you'll be dealing with a ticket.

All you need for dove hunting is your card and the HIP certification (where they ask you how many doves, coots etc. you shot last year) . You can do that online and print out a copy I believe. The one time I got checked I'm pretty sure the game warden could tell I was HIP certified when he ran my license number.

You would prob get a ticket. ..at least from the gw in my area....you can get it dismissed by sending in a copy of your license.

I have been checked numerous times and only presented the card. Catch is, I was not migratory bird hunting, which requires an HIP certification, which would be the hang up if checked while dove hunting.

I hunt MLD III property, so some years I don't get my paper tags printed seeing I do not need them.
