You can do it. I was dipping a can a day and quit a little over 4 years ago. It helped me to make small goals. For instance, go an hour without, then a day, then two days. Before you know it, you went a whole day not thinking about it. This can progress to weeks, months, and years. Before you know it, you wont even think about it anymore.
I dipped Copenhagen for 22 years.

I got lucky on the Copenhagen addiction. First time I tried it, I got violently sick. I was 12. Haven't touched it since and to this day can't stomach the smell.

Good luck on quitting. You can do it. The cravings will come, but they will subside.

Just remember with any lifestyle change (eating, drinking, smoking, dipping) its one day at a time. Every day is a conscious choice to not dip. My wife gave up smoking 7 years ago and she took on the challenge day by day. After a while it will become less of a struggle and more of an affirmation to yourself to not pick the habit back up. Stick with it and you can do it!!!

I am just going to pray about it and be mentally stronger than I have been in the past. Great bible verse that comes to mind..

I can do all things through him who strengthens me

You can do it but only if you really want to! I quit smoking prolly 20 times before I realized I was only fooling myself! Used to dip and chew too!! When I finally kicked it I purposely carried around an open pack of smokes for a month just to prove to myself I was really quitting!!! Aint had a cig or a dip for about 15 years! Good Luck Amigo!!

It helps to redirect the oral "fix" during difficult times like with a toothpick after meals.

                You can do it.

Sunflower seeds are your little friends today. Good luck, a bunch of us here have successfully quit. The money I saved more than pays for my deer lease. Think about that one. Be strong brother, real strong.

                    $150 a month
                    $1800 a year

Stupid to spend that much money on something other than hunting or fishing. Thanks for all of the support brothers. I am going to do this, no doubt in my mind.
