This COULD work just as well as the pre marked tapes. But, you have to remember that the tapes are done with a rather lengthy formula that takes into consideration wind drag, gravity, etc, and makes each mark exactly where it needs to be. If you mark it yourself, you risk being off by a fraction, which could mean a big difference at longer distance

I think you. Are putting way too much faith in the system. The tapes are generated by a generic draw weight/arrow weight formula using tons of empirical data from sales. Wind drag varies and gravity is a constant. They give you multiple tapes so you have options depending on what arrows and draw weight you shoot.

I quit using printed tapes because it was too hard to get the lines in line with the dial indicator, and everything would be off. I trust my marks shot from my bow.
