pros and cons of opening up scendaros

I'm fortunate enough to be able to hunt a phenomenal low fence ranch down south and as of late, the land owner has been opening up some of the lease roads to create more of a scendaro. Here's a picture that shows the before and after. What do y'all think the pros and cons potentially are of doing this and does it change your hunting strategy in these areas? Behind this tractor is a tree stand and feeder that sits at an intersection of another road.

I love it when the oil companies open up senderos. I still charge them though.

the deer should like that they are not closed in. We have wide senderos and happy with them.

One of my favorite things to do is corning roads like that and driving them a few hours later.

We do that almost yearly. Crazy how fast that stuff grows down there.

The deer will love the new growth! It wont stop them from coming out. I do it every other year or so to try and keep the roads wide.

I don't any negatives, only positives from doing that.

I like it, it's not too big. I need to do that on my lease.

i'm wondering how it will affect deer activity to the feeder there and if hand corning and ambushing them will be more productive along the opened space...

found a dead fawn on it this morning and some javi's.

I think it will only get better for you. They've created some good edges for you.

The only con I can think of would be near public roads or oil field roads. It would open it up for poachers to see better. Just leave them narrow or dog leg them near road intersections to help cut down on road hunting.

The pros outweigh the cons by a lot.
