Take an empty shotgun sell, cut off the plastic from the brass and knock out the primer. Run a loop of leather thong through the primer hole then use hot melt glue to secure the beard in the brass. Then hang it in your man cave - that's how I display all my turkey beards.

I do something similar to what jerp described...you could do it without the spurs

My double beard was wrapped on the top, around the flesh, with waxed string and now hangs from the rear view on my truck. I'll be fitting a shotgun shell over it soon.

I have the beard and spurs saved from my first ever gobbler I took this season. Wasn't real sure what I was going to do with them.

              But I know now!

Should I cut the little but of frozen meat off the top and hot glue it together would like to put it on my rear view

I just dried the flesh with non-iodized salt rather than cut it all off.

Yes....cut it off then I place the tip in borax (salt will work) for a week to dry/preserve it. After that you can do what you want.

The sun will fade it through the years just so you know.

Use it as hair extensions in back as a rat-tail.
