    In Loving Memory Tattoo

I know this is not hunting related but I need some ideas.

As most of you know, my son passed away October 12, 2012. He was 2yrs and 4 months old. For those of you who dont know, he had muscle hypatonia (sp) and passed in his sleep. I've been wanting to get a tattoo in memory of him for a while now but can't figure out what I want. I know there are artist and people full of ideas on here so I come here to see what we can muster up. Thanks

I'm sorry for your loss. Maybe, a nice piece with his favorite toy or stuffed animal and his name worked around it. Something that will remind you of your son and only your son. Unless you are willing to travel and part with some cash, I wouldn't do a portrait unless it's done by a person who is well known for their face work. God bless

OMG!! I'm so sorry for your loss brother!! Kinda still new so no I didn't know. If it was me I would get your favorite pic of him and have his portrait put on your left chest (closest to your heart). I would research the best tattoo artist in Texas and drive there, no matter how far. It'll be worth it as I've heard portraits are hard to tattoo. Good luck on getting it and post up what you end up getting. Prayers for you and your family, man!!

Thank you. Im not a big fan of the portrait tattoos and they are expensive. Thanks for the input

Reading my last comment kinda sounds rude. Did not mean for it to. I appreciate the ideas

If u want, I'm not bad with sketches. Throw me some ideas of what u want or a combination of things/ideas and I'll sketch something out for ya. My brother just had a lil girl and he wanted her footprint inside a lilly so I drew him this.

I'm sorry for your loss. I personally do not want any tats, but I have said if something happens to either of my boys, I'd get their dates and name/initials on me. Something simple, but a reminder of them.

Didn't come across as rude at all. I definitely agree with having it on your left pec. and being closer to your heart.

My only child passed away in Jan. 2013. I always swore I'd never get a tattoo. Wrong!! Right forearm reads..."to the moon and back" and her initials. She would always tell her mom and me that she loves us to the moon and back.

Alright this is the last time I'm posting in this thread. I've got an 18 month old lil girl and a 4 yr old boy and "the moon and back" got to me! That's an awesome tat. I feel for y'all as I don't know if I could take a loss of a child. My heart goes out to y'all!

When it is for the love of a child, alive or passed, you should get whatever it is that you think of when you think of them. It doesn't matter whether it "makes a good tattoo" or whether anyone else will think its cool. Heck this is the kind of thing that is so personal nobody else is going to understand it the way you do anyway. I wouldn't overthink it, because this type of tattoo is more about the love for the person than the tattoo design itself

Man Jeff this got to me. The wife and I have told my 3 year old son that every night before bed sense he was born. To the OP sorry for your loss. I don't know what I would do without my lil man.
