    Still good to eat?

We've all been there-- accidently left something out & wondered 'is it still good to eat'. How long will you leave food out at room temperature?

Depends on what it is. Ive left things out for hours.

Shoot, at my Nana's house the sausage and bacon from breakfast will sit in a pan by the stove and we'll still be snackin on it at 3 in the afternoon. Still here

Yeah, it really depends. Leftovers that have been left out all day, I usually don't worry about it unless its been left in the sun, or if its mayo or milk based. Occasionally we forget to clean the kitchen after dinner and will find leftovers that were left out all night (gross, I know) and they always get chunked in the garbage.

When we were kids, my sister ate some leftover pork and rice casserole that was sitting on the counter to be thrown out. It had been sitting in the fridge for over a week, and had been there on the counter for about a day or two. I don't think she even got sick. Not sure how though.

I left a half gallon of milk out for about 6 hours. I put it back in the fridge and didn't tell anyone. Oddly enough I didn't drink any.

My grandma used to cook a ham and we would be picking at it just left out in the pan for a day or two, never got sick and always had something yummy.
So I guess it depends on what it is and how hungry you are lol

When I prep steaks I let them sit out all afternoon prior to grilling them. Sometimes from morning til sometime in the evening. Best way to let the salts start working in.

Easy to fix...just take at minimum 2 full shots of Whiskey before eating then 2 more after you finish...works every time, no scours!

Just eat it. If you get the runs just make sure you got pepto-bismol for the next time. I've eaten steak I left out over night. There are very few thinks left out over night that will hurt you. As long as it doesn't have onions in it. Eat it

I forgot about a girlfriend for two years, then out of the blue, saw her one night. Still good.

I would assume it would be fine as long as you cook it first.
