how can a thumb release improve my shot

i have been doing quite alot of looking into thumb or t handle releases and am just currious on how goin from a buckle release will improve my 3d and hunting experience. any imput helps.

I went from strap release to a handheld Scott caliper, heads rotates to reduce torque. It has a trigger, tried a thumb but all weight is in fingers, with this I have whole hand. Plus during hunting season I can leave release hooked up and don't have to fumble with hooking up when I need to shoot.

I have shot alot of 3d archery and i cant shoot a trigger anymore.. My whole shot routine is better with my henge.. I am going to hunt with it from now on.. I truly believe that i have more control with it than a trigger..Plus it doesnt hurt tha my pin just sits on the spot with it..
