    Suggestions on new arrow rest?

I have a flex rest with a turn down top holder that you have to flip down on the arrow and it eventually slides and pops off the arrow so it's time for a new one.

I've heard alot about drop aways but have also wondered about the whisker biscuit types...do they impact flight at all?....I really want something that has a full hold on the arrow and not just underneath and don't want to drop $100 on a new rest.....prices on gear is getting ridiculous!!

    Thanks for your input

Get a Trophy taker and be done with it...

Another vote for the trophy taker, excellent rest. IMO this is one of the easiest rests to tune as well. I hate WB's but again this is my opinion.

Whisker Biscuit is the way to go...I just put one on and love it. The arrow stays put and I have no accuracy problems.

I like the drop zone and the trophy taker rests. I have one of each and both of them are great. I tried the whisker biscuit and hated it.

I shot a whisker biscuit for quite a while and did not have accuracy problems, but they are tough on vanes. The softer vanes wrinkle and the tougher vanes like Blazers have a tendency to get pulled off after a great deal of shooting, but it is a good rest.

I personally love my QAD Ultra, but it is getting close to the $100 you were wanting to stay away from. In my mind it is worth every penny. I believe the ripcord is very similar and it is cheaper, but I am not sure by how much.

Although I do not shoot one, the Whisker Biscuit is a very dependable, trouble free rest. I'd shoot one before I'd ever shoot a drop-away. If you pair it with Blazer vanes, you should have no problems at all. After all, it is the best selling rest in the world right now!

Have to agree with FFH on the QAD. Have used one for 2 years now. Total arrow capture in a drop away. They do have a hunter version for around $50.

I've got an NAP QuickTune 4000 that I like and use. I'll add some pics for ya... in order of comment.

The QAD and RipCord are very similar, total capture. Both quality rests.

The Montana TrapDoor doesn't need any cables to work. It works off inertian of the bow firing. Yes, it does work and won't drop when you don't want it to. I know the guy who invented it. It's a winner. My next one will be this rest I think.

Trophy Taker isn't fancy, just a good, solid rest with a deservedly, good reputation. The wide forked Shaky Hunter version shown here.

I agree with Tejas on the Trap Door. No cords, no tubing , nothing to get caught on brush, nothing to come loose and a very simple rest to set up and tune and a launcher that is very good about holding the arrow. I have had one now for several years, switched bows and the old rest would not fit the new model due to a lack of enough side to side adjustment so i wrote a letter to the company and set it along with the rest explaining the problem and they sent me one of the new rest no questions ask. This rest has never failed to work, is very dependable, rugged and quiet. The people that invented the trap door are the people that invented the original fall away rest many years ago. If you try it, I believe you will not even look at another rest.
