Anyone shoot a compound without sights ?

I have not shot a compound in several years but when I did I tried to shoot without sights for a day or two. I believe I could have gotten pretty good if I had not started shooting trad. about that same time frame.
Is it something you would try? Sure is nice not to have to see a pin in low light or in a quick shot circumstance.

I used to shoot a compound with no sights and a 3 finger glove. No problem.
One of my brothers has been shooting/hunting with that setup for over 20 years

I shot that way for 28 years. I changed only when the fiber optic sight systems hit the scene and consistency with 3D shoots as well as hanging with a bunch of stick flingers forced me to change.

I can shoot my hunting compound without pins at night, hog hunting. There are times I pull the front pins off the bow and practice without sights. It's backup plan B as well as a perfect "spot and stalk" setup for hogs at night. It's kind of cool to plink practice without sights, using a judo point on a tough arrow, and simply fire away at prickly pear and softer targets of interest on roam. Over time you develop a very keen instinctive feeling of your bow's performance and these new compounds are so flat, you can thump with accuracy much more farther than stick bows.
