    Level a mower deck?

My manual says to measure from the blade to the floor. They are exactly the same height, both ends of each blade. Yet the thing still cuts a small ridge in the yard. Now what?

    Tire pressure equal?

I would try lifting the side that's cutting down. At running speed, the torque may be dipping that end?

I had a cracked blade spindle that caused this last year. Replaced the spindle and even cut again.

Tires good, spindles good, blades good. Maybe torque?

Is the ridge left between the blades or to the side of the deck where the next cut overlaps?

Only thing I can think of is the blades are too worn if it's a 2 blade deck. That will leave a ridge down the center of the cut.

                          ^^^^this

Or try putting your 40oz Colt 45 in the drink holder on the other side.

I'm not sure what brand mower you have but I had a cub cadet I could never get to cut level and I took it in 2 times to the cub cadet service place and they couldn't get it to mow level. I replace blades and spindles and made sure all the tires were equal pressure even tried to offset the deck nothing worked, I finally sold it.

Thinking it will have something to do with the belt or spindle. I had a similar problem with my mower last summer and it was the belt. It was stretched and did not supply enough torque on the spindle so the blade was not spinning fast enough.
