I dug around with a few searches for a used 5.4 Ford engine and found a few that are low mileage engines salvaged from wrecked trucks. This may be the quickest way to get your F150 rolling again?

A shop should be able to pull the old and drop in a decent used engine in a day.

Thanks Rob, but I'm just going to let it go as is. I should be able to get the Ranger back going for around $400. Me and the wife have been crunching numbers and hopefully I can buy something new in a few months.
