What poundage to set trigger at?

What poundage would you set a timney trigger at? The rifle is a 22-250 varmint rifle used for hunting. I've opted to put a trigger in it vs having remington goof it up again. It took 2 months for my shipping box to get here after I filled out the paperwork.

I just had my new 220 swift with same trigger set a 2 pounds. Love it.

I shoot most of mine before one pound but I shoot jewell triggers. 2 is a good place to start.

          do you need my answer

most hunting guns for the average Joe is set at 3 - 4 lbs.

factory triggers are set at 5-8 lbs due to litigation purposes

for those who shoot a lot from the bench or at varmints, I'd recommend 1-2 lbs.

mine are set lighter b/c I know my rifles and am 100% comfortable with lighter triggers

This was not intended for Blake. Your triggers scare me

I really like 2lbs for a stalking rifle. If I know for sure I'll be in a blind or on a bench one of those "scary" triggers.

2 lbs with no creep will feel like nothing if you're used to factory

sounds pretty unanimous - 2 lbs I agree

My factory triggers in my hunting rifles are all around 3#. My .22-250 has a timney set at 1.
