Definitely a shooter but it's your call.

He could be over the fence and shot by a neighbor in a heartbeat. Take him first chance.

That's got to be my favorite freak characteristic. Love the double main beam

Agreed on the age, looks 3-4 but no way to be sure from that pic.

Very interesting. History disagrees with you.

            Very cool buck!

This is my fourth year hunting this area and the first time to see a rack like this on the place. We have seen some trashy racks and even a drop tine, but the split beam is the coolest by far!
I will update with more pics of him as the year progresses. I just hope he can make it through the season.....I would like I see him next year!!!

Well he made it through last season and this year he is closer to normal, but MUCH more impressive!! This is mommas target buck as she was unable to close the deal on him last year. She had an encounter with him on the last hunt of the season but couldn't get her self positioned in the stand to take the shot so she let him walk. She made every hunt last weekend and will do the same this weekend or until she has him on the tailgate this year!!
Pretty impressive jump in one year if I must say so myself!!!
                    Last year vs this year....

So he didn't grow that extra main beam back? How do you know it's the same buck?

Good luck to the little woman on getting him this year. Very nice looking buck.

In every picture for the past two years of this deer he favors his front right leg, he never sets it down straight so that is how we identify him.

This begs the question: Did he grow that extra main beam on the opposite side of his hurt leg because of the injury? You hear about deer growing some abnormal points on the opposite side of an injured leg. Just wonder if this is why he grew the extra beam in the past?
