    Federal Duck Stamp

Why do none of the U.S. Post offices carry the federal duck stamp for sale in Austin area?

I've called Cedar Park, Leander, and the main office in Austin. They're all out and not one person could say when they had them last. Nor could they tell me when they had them last.

Here is an idea, since we can't get the dang stamps out for immediate purchase, how about just an endorsement on my Texas Hunting License, so I don't have to wait on the post office to mail me one?

For the one year I bought a stamp, I could swear that when I bought my license and paid for the stamp and it was mailed to me, it arrived weeks if not months before duck season even opened.

          Is that not the case?

That's weird, I just bought mine wednesday at my local USPS when I stopped to ship a package still $15. I go get mine at the same location every year, luckily cause the office manager is a water fowler as well. He said almost no other locations in my immediate area carry them.

Pretty sure on TPWDs site they're still listed as $17 and generally when you purchase with your license it comes in about a month, which is in time for the regular season but not early teal, even then your temp is good till your stamp comes in.

              Canvasback this year.

I read they past legislation to raise it to $25. Guess that will go into affect next year!

I don't mind paying it, cause every $.97 of every $1 goes to waterfowl conservation

It's the POST OFFICE and FEDERAL GOVERNMENT that is why.

I'd check and make sure the $10 increase does the same and doesn't redistribute the wealth!!!!!!
