I'm looking at the Mitsubishi Mr Slim or similar for the small living space in my shop. I know they are more expensive than a window unit, but they are much more efficient.

Yes, we had one installed in my wife's office. Pretty incredible little unit. I think it was a tad over $2k for system and installation. Keeps the 24' x 16' building at a nice 70* and you barely even know it's even running -

We just installed the 18,000 BTU Mr.Slim in our new "dog" room. Wow, incredible unit. If you know anyone on Direct Buy see if they will order it for you. I saved 600 bucks over retail. You do need to have a Mitsubishi qualified installer put it in or the warranty will be void through Mitsubishi.Comment

Inlaws have one and that thing is magical. It is maybe 100 yards off the Intercoastal Canal, and been there running for three years with no problems. They will go through a window unit every two years.Comment
