Vintage coca cola gurus tell me about this

I was given this little cooler by a client the other day and was wondering what it's called an how much do you think I could get for it. If I keep it, it will sit in my garage and collect dust. It is from the 1950s I was told by my 80 year old client, all original even the metal drain cap the only thing missing is the bottle opener which was 2/3 up on the right where it is really scratched up. This thing has opened a million bottles he said. It's like a Yeti Roadie except a lot neater

It is called an ice chest. Probably get $200 for it, maybe

50's is about right. Remember taking one with us when we went to the beach crabbing and feeding alligators.

Let me call a buddy to take a look at it. If it is worth $200, I'll give ya $20 for it.

I remember those. We used one for years at our deer camp for a dry box to store nails, bailing wire, and such.

My wife's stepdad owns a coca cola restoratin business and has done several of those for clients. I can call him tomorrow and get an exact value for it but last I remember they were about $200 and fully restored about $800

Had a similar one as a kid in the '50s. Heavy when empty (at least to me) and even heavier when loaded. Remember the big blocks of ice you used to get? -- None of these little sissie bags back then.

They were first used as a display idem for small drug stores to sell 6 once bottle cokes. then coke started selling them to the public. Yours is one that was sold to the public because its still got the tray inside.
