My employee drives a 2000 Chevy 1/2 ton 2wd 6 cylinder. Heater core broke at the hose connection. Can I replace it or do I need to carry it to a mechanic? Just curious.

Are you sure the core broke? I have the exact same truck and the fitting broke on mine. Cheap and easy to fix. Is a known problem with them.Originally posted by doghouse View Post -
It's these fittings. They just push on the heater core and lock on.
Need a set of these to remove them. Also cheap.
