I had a great drive up yesterday for my first thwack at SpeedGoats!
It was good to drive thru some familiar country along the way and think about past bowhunting trips. I even got a short-course education between Clayton & Raton, New Mexico on what a B&C pronghorn looks like!!!
We all got here yesterday evening within 2 hours of eachother (BrettC, Rattler and myself) and got set up on the 5K ranch just outside of Pueblo where BrettC grew up. Rattler got here earlier enough to get his license squared away (which was a mini adventure...lol) which I will do after this post. We have 24 more hours until the season opener (Friday morning) so we gonna chase some small game today while tooling around the area. We saw 6-8 speed goats while setting up the last ground blind.........with one decent buck/ram among them.
