Just saw this rooster in Dallas. Was feeding near a creek. Anyone ever seen these down here?

never heard of any in the area. So, never seen any either. Pretty cool. Probably very isolated.

Caught a golden pheasant at my MIL's house last year in Temple, tx. We figured it probably escaped from a farm or hatchery. Probably similar situation here.

Probably true about the game farm. Hope he makes it though. Seen a couple bobcats in the neighborhood recently. Here's a closer shot.

Whistle and see if he comes towards you=pen bird .... Atleast the ones I've seen will. Cool sighting none the less

I've got a friend who used to hunt them all the time in the DFW area in the 70's.

Can't survive in the wild this far south. Has to be a pen bird that got out. I have seen 2 in the greater Houston area. My bet is it won't last more than a day or two, as we know they are tasty and so does everything out there.

Last year up at LBJ they had a shoot and released pheasant. We saw a few afterward and was hoping some would hit our property.
