I've been using the same cheap rubber boots from academy for a few years and the soles finally fell off so I chucked them. They were never comfortable or anything but they did the job. I have been looking at some new options and trying to see if I could find some good ones for a better price. Yesterday I stopped by gander mountain and tried on some Lacrosse Alphaburly boots. Wow those things fit perfect and are ridiculously comfortable. I never knew rubber boots could be like that. So if you don't want to pay that price tag for them do not put them on. That will change your mind really quick.

I wear the LaCrosse Grange boots for work when I need them and would trade them for anything. They make an extremely comfortable rubber boot. The only problem I have is there is a without a left foot stealing my right boot. I'm about to buy my 3rd pair in 3-4months because the right boot keeps getting stolen off my truck!

The Alphaburly line is by far the best boot going in the rubber boot market as far as I'm concerned.). Extremely comfortable. They look bulky but really aren't. What I like most is you can roll down the tops when walking to your stand and help keep your legs cooler. Then roll them up the last 100 yards or so
. Bought them in 2005. finally wore a hole in the tops 3 years ago where they were rolled down at. But I used them more than the average deer hunter too. Still have them. They are my back-up set to the new ones, should they get wet
.
You can also get them in 1000 gram and 1200 gram.
