    Strange feeding habits?

    Hi bros,

Just to share something I think it´s a strange feeding habit but want to know if I´m right or wrong, perhaps someone had the same experience I would like to hear comments.

Along with some other animals my dad´s has some chicken at the farm, we started seeing broken eggs partially eaten at the chicken crop and I though that would be a Possum or Ringtail since they´re commonly found around.

Well yesterday I was looking for a place to set a trap when chicken started clucking alarmed, I went carefully inside the crop and found a big gray squirrell eaten a fresh egg it really took my by surprise without any gun at hand since I thought the intruder was making he´s bussines at night not in the morning.

Did you guys ever saw this squirrel behavior before?

Thanks´for your comments great day to everyone...

A couple years ago I witnessed a squirrel eating a live baby bird that had either fallen out of the nest or was snatched from the nest. I thought it was a strange meal for a squirrel

Squirrels are omnivores. Yes they will eat meat.

OK, that deer eating the bird was just weird.
I did see a ground squirrel eating a 15" coral snake that I had run over.

I figured it was just getting some payback!
