Ft. Worth Stockyards

Wanted to get out of town and take my wife somewhere before school started back up and hunting season starts. We are thinking about going to the Stockyards. I would like to see the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, and Ive looked on the web to find out more about the area, but I thought some of you guys might have some good info about what to see and what not to waste time on. I think Uncle Ted is actually playing at Billy Bob's, but Im too old to stay up late and listen to loud music! Give me some ideas.

The Civil War Museum is not too far from the Stockyards and worth a visit.

Spend an afternoon at Fred's TX Cafe if y'all like relaxing. They will have a little band. Good food, good drinks in a very laid back setting. (Frog legs and excellent calf fries that are not on the menu)
