Guardian numbers

Well my hunting trip last week has me a little behind, but I did get to test the Guardian today. It seems that it has nearly the exact same speeds as the Tribute and the Drenaline when compared apples to apples. At 72 lbs and 29 inches with an arrow weight of 360 grains, speeds are as follows; Drenalin-309; Tribute-310; and Guardian-311. That is with the same arrow and a loop only on the string. The Allegiance shot it at 321 same setup. It seems that the Allegiance will still be the fastest bow, but the Guardian and Tribute are very close on smoothness. Some of this speed will be lost as you load the string up with accessories, but in my experience, the single cam bow will lose more speed at a faster rate when loading the string than the binaries will. So the Drenalin will probably lose 2-3 fps more than the others. The Guardian is definitely a looker! It looks 100 times better in hand than in any pictures you may have seen. You owe it to yourself to give it a look.

Thanks for the report, were the Tribute & Allegiance both sporting speed or smooth mods (assuming they were the same)?

From what I've read on other forums I'd be leaning towards the Allegiance this year.

Hey Duck, what kind of speed did you get out of the Elite?

I'm sure it wasn't as fast as Your Bow. And how is she doing? Did she have a good Christmas?

Haven't shot them with the Elite but I'm going out on a limb here and saying the Elite will be real close to the numbers of the Guardian, Tribute and Drenalin. With the exact same setup, of course. Ad yes DaveC, they had the speed mods today, but the Guardian dosen't have an option.

Didn't get to shoot it because it wasn't set up yet, but I did get to pull a Guardian yesterday at Mesquite Archery. Quite smoot draw cycle, at least compared to my VFT Extreme. I pulled the #70 Guardian with ease and I have to struggle to pull my VFT at #70

As far as Ducks bow being faster then any other, well lets just say that the other day he shot at a big buck & with his arrow traveling sooo fast that it went back in time and killed a T-Rex. We’re waiting on the LDP.
