Shelf Life....Bow string???

How long does a bow string stay good, I had my bow restrung about 5 years ago, is it still ok to shoot? String looks to be in good shape.

Hopefully it didnt rot from the inside out? lol I wax mine every couple of months even when it is hanging up in the house.

I've heard if it's been sitting like that to change it after 2 years. Heard that from 2 different archery shops and personally I wouldn't risk it if I was you, get yourself a new string sir. If that thing comes apart at full draw, it could be hazardous to your health.
