Driving to corpus today and staying for a few days. Ill be stay on base at the navy lodge. Is there any where to fish close to the navy lodge? Anywhere I can fish, I do not have 4x4?

right there, you can get bait across the freeway at the Bait Bucket

Use to be a bait stand on base. You can fish all over the Boat Hole from the base. Lots of wading.

This^. Also, if the water is clear, gigging can be good from the officers pier along the shoreline heading east to the point right around the boat hole. You can wade fish the same shoreline ESPECIALLY close to the point. Throw tops early and plastics as it's warms up.

There is also a pier on the base. You can also rent kayaks from the base.

Sounds good I brought my wade gear. Days will be pretty busy but evening I should be able to get away.
