Vibrio vulnificus in Florida. We just came back. I tore up my leg pretty good while in the water and was a little worried. No issues though.

When I saw your pic with all those little scratches, I figured the beer would taste pretty good from the beach.

Well the doctors in Houston said it was a bad case, but they have seen worse. They feel no more surgery will be needed, just continued strong antibiotics and wound care. If there's no more setbacks he could be released by mid next week. I'm sure the family appreciates the prayers!

Yes talked to him yesterday and he was lucky because he was already taking antibiotics when he got the bacteria so it kept it in check so to speak. How do you know Booger?

I've had it back in 2000, the infection scarred my lymphatic system in my right leg and I have lots of complications since. When it's Hot, stay out of the water. I still fish a lot but avoid wade fishing during the warmer months of the year. Best way to protect your self is to wear breathable waders. Glad to hear your friend is doing better and making a recovery.
