Personally I have to have a regular size truck. If I was wanting to go smaller for a commute or whatever I would get a car and keep my old truck for the lease etc. I dont live in town so my needs may be different from many others here. Its all personal I guess.

I have a full size 4x4 but also have a Ranger for my commute to work. I mainly don't want to put the miles on my 4x4.

My son has been driving the gas hog and I'm driving a Ranger. I don't miss the F150 because the Ranger will do all I need.
