              My guess is a juvenile green vegetable bug or a green stink bug.

                    Not a stink bug. It's a leaf-footed bug nymph. They're all over our mesquite trees in Childress right now, especially where there's sap oozing out.

                        I'm gonna check this one out.... This was at my dads place in palo duro canyon, all over the mesquite trees as a matter of fact

                          I don't think it's a leaf footed bug nymph. They have some red in them and are shaped different.

                            Also looks like it could be a cactus bug, specifically a very late 5th instar nymph.
