I have a thermocell but am afraid to use it. If I'm using fresh eartr cover scent would the fresh earth thermocell work good?

If you have time, mail it to thermacell warranty dept. They fixed two of mine, and one even took a swim in the marsh. Took a month, but only cost me the shipping. I used a USPS flat rate box.

I had an older one that did that and I took it apart and one of the wires had come undone. I was able to put it back in place and solder it and it lasted for several years afterwards.

Use it because if they can smell the thermocell they can smell you because I don't care what you do you can not eliminate 100% of your scent. I use mine all the time hog hunting and deer hunting, not one time did I think the hogs or deer busted me because of it not me. Of course I also believe that cover scents only fool the hunter not the game we are chasing.

Slap it into the palm of your hand a couple times and try it. Worked on mine.

Sometimes you have to "rapid fire" the button, at least with one of mine.
