My girlfriend just finished her online portion of the hunter ed. Passed all quizzes and final exam. I scheduled her a field day for aug 2. everything im reading shows a field day isn't required if above 17 and all online is completed. am I missing something or just not reading it right?

Correct. There was a recent change in the law so no field day is required for adults.

But make sure you went through a link off of TPWD website They have two or three and cost money. If it's the free one still need the field course.
