Finally got me a disk!!!

After seeing all the post and pics if the disk and the food cooked in them, I decided to make one for myself and see what all the hype is about.....

Started out with a used 20" disk



And ended up with this tonight....starting the seasoning process!!! Looking forward to cooking on it this weekend.

Did a dang good job filling that hole. Did you cut a plug or just stitch it up carefully?

Thank you, I cut a plug and left just enough gap for the weld to fill in flush. Took very little grinding to clean up.

I got the disk from a friend out in Sealy. I got the only ones he had left in a fair trade for some straps to tie his buggy down to the trailer. I will let y'all know when he has anymore as I have already requested them from him.
