Best way to anchor down stand?

I bought a TWS Monster blind and will be setting it up this weekend. What have you guys had success with as far as anchoring a blind down rock solid. It's on a 12' tower and I want to be as safe as and solid as I can. Thanks in advance

cables and turnbuckles. I use the screw in dog leash anchors but a t post drove in deep at an angle would probably be better

T-posts driven at an outward angle with guy wires strung taught to where the t-post meets the ground. One on each corner will do the trick.

A joint up here sells these too.

Top out a cedar or mesquite and put the stand on top of it. Tie the stand to the stump of the tree.

Mobile home corkscrew that they use with the metal straps and then use cable with a turnbuckle.

When in an area that is too rocky to drive stakes deep enough, I will set the stand straddling a medium sized mesquite tree. You can then run wire rope from the underside of the blind to the base of the tree and tighten it down with a turnbuckle.

Edit: smokeless beat me to it!

This, but directly underneath the stand, cranked down tight.

We are in San Saba County and get some nasty windstorms that will blow through and knock over stands that you think would never fall. This past trip we have two box blinds on towers fall that were tied down with the mobile home anchors mentioned above. It ripped them out of the ground with out issue.

Since there are many big rocks in the area we use a rock drill bit w/ hammer drill and drill way down into the center of a boulder and hammer an anchor bolt directly under the stand to tie a steel cable to. From there we use guy wires on all four sides or drive a t-post near each leg and wire the heck out of it. We have decided its best to have all our bases covered instead of having to repair and re-lift heavy box blinds.

Agree. Home Depot sells some anchors in the fencing dept that work well, $7 I think. One of them with some cable, connectors and a turnbuckle and you are in business. If you are in some really loose sandy soil you may want to go with a mobile home anchor because they are longer, but I haven't seen a HD anchor turn loose yet on the ones we have put up.

This is what I've always done and never had a problem.

I dig a post hole. Bell it out on the bottom. Install a fence anchor and fill with sackrete. Then cables with a turnbuckle. I tried to pull one out with a front end loader and couldn't do it.

I like the ideas of anchoring in a tree stump or a big boulder and I like the idea of digging a post hole and putting in an anchor and concreting it. I am going to highly evaluate the exact location that I set the blind down to make anchoring the most effective. Thanks a lot guys
