Terrified workers.......refusing to go to work after a pack of giant bears attacked and ate two of their colleagues.

At least 30 of the hungry animals have been seen prowling close to the mines....

What? I've never heard of bears running in a pack!?

Maybe it's a new trend.

You didn't provide a link to the article but I suspect that the mine is close to a river with salmon runs and thats why the bears are gathering there. It's getting to be that time of year and Russia has some phenomenal salmon rivers in Siberia. The brown bears may TOLERATE humans in the daytime, but they OWN the night. 30 by a salmon is pretty normal.
