Unintended consequences...

I had a pit bull dog that chewed up a $350 Valentine fly fishing reel that was in a leather bag. The reel ended up about the size of a golf ball.

You know, she's a funny dog. She can tell when she has done something wrong (mainly I guess by the volume of my voice) but she still does these things anyway. The wife said that she was right along side of me until I hollered when I saw the mess and she beat it back to the bed alongside the wife. Well so far I have made all of the necessary phone calls for replacements and got English speaking people with no accents on every call and only had to listen to a few snickers. My wife made me some cookies and brought them to me at work. On the ziplock bag they were in was written "Daddy, I'm sorry I hurt your wallet but it tasted good. I love you. Gabby" Oh well, I did get the knives ordered and I needed a new wallet anyway.

Im laughing with you man. My wife has a habit of leaving her wallet where my lab can get to it. He has never chewed up the wallet or cards. But he must really like the taste of money. Over 1 week he ate like $65 out of her wallet. Wife was mowing a week later and saw something sticking out of some poop. Found a whole $20 in there.
